2. Respect students, property, and teachers.
3. Remain quiet unless given permission to talk.
4. Bring required materials to class.
5. Take responsibility for all of your actions, good or bad.
The Consequences….
Should you choose to not follow these rules, the following consequences will occur:
1st Consequence- Personal warning by the teacher
2nd Consequence- Teacher/student conference following the incident
3rd Consequence- Parents/Guardian contacted by telephone, letter, or e-mail.
4th Consequence- Detention
5th Consequence- Student sent to Mrs. Housman
***Severe Clause- Depending on the seriousness of the act, the teacher reserves the right to omit one or more of the above steps, possible resulting in immediate referral to Mrs. Housman for appropriate disciplinary action. (Examples: fighting, disrespect for authority, failure to cooperate with teacher or a substitute teacher, destruction of school property, etc..)
The Positive Reinforcements
As good behavior merits, the following positive consequence will be given:
1. Verbal and/or written compliments to an individual, class or parents for displaying a good attitude and cooperative behavior.
2. A few minutes for independent practice or enrichment activities at the end of the period when all work has been completed and the group has behaved especially well.
3. Unscheduled video or lab related to class content when the group has been well behaved over a period of time.
A Final Note…
You are encouraged to give your constructive suggestions and ideas about what we are doing. This can be an enjoyable, meaningful class if we all work together!
